Zainab is a licensed psychotherapist, specializing in neuro-testing and psycho-metric assessments. She is the founder of the Carolinas Institute, a psycho-diagnostic and psycho-educational facility focusing on neuro-cognitive testing for adults and children. Zainab is a Certified Clinician for Applied Neuroscience for Anxiety and Panic Disorders; Board Certified Autism Specialist; National Custody Evaluator, and a National Board Certified Forensic Evaluator.
She received her education from Loyola University Chicago and Roosevelt University Chicago and post-graduate training from Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy. Zainab received neuropsychological psychometric training from UIC Medical Center and has worked in inpatient hospitals and outpatient private practices.
Zainab has over 15 years of experience in working with diverse populations, including refugees, asylum seekers, women, children, and LGBTQI community members. Her areas of experience include Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder); survivors of suicide; intergenerational trauma; and she has specialized training in behavioral/emotional therapy for children and adolescents. Zainab has presented internationally on therapeutic interventions for children that have experienced trauma, including in Spain, France, United Kingdom, and Turkey.
