Samuel is the President of the Ambazonia Foundation, a non-profit organization created to support the needs of the people of the former Southern Cameroons, also known as Ambazonia, who continue to be affected every day by a war declared on them by the government of Cameroon.
Samuel has lived in the US on political asylum since 2010. Since 1992, he has been a political activist and human rights champion on behalf of the people of Southern Cameroons and their struggle for restoration and recognition. In 2019, he was elected president of Ambazonia’s Interim Government by an electoral college representing both the people of and major civil society organizations in all thirteen counties in Southern Cameroons.
