We asked Nish Veer some quirky questions—he admits to struggling to take it seriously—here’s what he shared:
🏝 If I were to be stuck on a desert island, what 3 things would I take?
Obviously the answer no one can choose, but everyone wants to: A boat—so I could leave said desert island!
If, however, I were to indeed remain stuck there, then: A big screen TV, so I could watch the football whenever it was on. Let’s be honest, there’d be a lot of downtime. And a non-negotiable would have to be a private chef with unlimited access to ingredients, because I’m partial to a decent meal.
🇱🇰 The best destination I’ve been to is, without a doubt, Sri Lanka. It’s had its fair share of troubles over the last few decades, but it’s such a stunning country. Ancient ruins, beautiful beaches, gigantic tea fields and the kindest people in the world. I could easily live there.
🧞♂️ If I could only ask one wish to improve the world, something that would make a genuine impact for people in all walks of life and across geographies, it would have to be to get rid of Cancer. What a horrid disease—it takes far too many lives.
🎸 In a multiverse somewhere out there, there is most likely a version of me that chose another path in life, and that person is living my other dream: to be a musician! I love music, and wish I could in some way incorporate it into making a living. Then again, what might I be doing now if I had chosen music? I’d probably be broke and drunk somewhere…
❤️ 3 self-care practices I implement in my life to treat myself well would be:
- It’s ok to be normal or average. You don’t have to be a multimillionaire with a huge house to be a ’success’. Happiness is success.
- Practice adaptability. Change is healthy and inevitable, but it takes practice to be patient, understanding and accepting that change is good.
- Get excited when you’re proven wrong by others. Have debates, but go into them knowing that you could lose, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing, it just means that you’ve learnt something new, and that’s a great thing.
