About:
Aana is a youth environmental advocate, activist, and educator. She is passionate about climate activism and believes that every young person deserves a safe home, no matter their background. Her interest in sustainability started when she volunteered and worked as a camp counselor for five years at a local farm. She taught kids about the importance of sustainable agriculture through interactive lessons and outdoor learning, and was able to see the effect that environmental education has on younger generations.
She realized that not enough climate action was being taken to address climate change and joined several environmental activist organizations. She now holds multiple leadership roles and has experience in grassroots organizing and facilitating her own initiatives. She believes in focusing on creating long term sustainable change that will build a safer world for future generations and prepare all young people to be educated in climate issues as global citizens. When she's not in school or working, she loves spending time outside with friends and family, traveling, reading, and thrifting.
